Why is Scottsdale, Arizona So Popular?

Scottsdale, Arizona is a great destination for those looking for a safe and vibrant city. It has an abundance of suburban areas with low crime rates and some of the best schools in the state. It's also ideal for young adults who are just starting out, as there are plenty of work opportunities, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping. The city is often stereotyped as exclusive, with high-end resorts and golf courses.

But there's much more to Scottsdale than that. It's a fantastic golf destination, with greens and galleries that are popular with players and spectators alike. Every winter, TPC Scottsdale hosts the Waste Management Phoenix Open tournament, where the 16th hole of the stadium course is dwarfed by the 20,000-seat grandstand built for fans. If you're looking for a quieter and more challenging round, you can schedule a tee time at one of the 200+ Scottsdale golf courses.

Scottsdale Public Art sponsors many projects, including Canal Convergence - a 10-day interactive festival on and around the Arizona Canal which runs through the city. There are over 100 galleries in Scottsdale, nearly half of which are clustered in the Scottsdale Arts District. Art buffs can stroll the streets to see the latest exhibitions during the free weekly ArtWalks. Millennial travelers will find plenty to do in Scottsdale too.

The city has a great dining scene, nightlife, and even golf cart taxis operating in Old Town Scottsdale. There's also an excellent contemporary art museum - the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMOCA). Scottsdale is also known for its environmental concern - something you might not expect from a significantly red city in a traditionally red state. Much of this public art is the work of a non-profit organization called Scottsdale Public Art, whose mission is to “promote a strong sense of place and an identity unique to Scottsdale”.Scottsdale Arizona is one of the most beautiful cities in the country and it's worth taking the time to explore.
