Scottsdale Airport (SCF) is a municipally owned public airport located in Scottsdale, Maricopa County, Arizona. Originally built to serve as a flight training school during World War II, the airport is now designated as a relief airport to relieve congestion at the region's largest commercial airports (Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport). Scottsdale Airport is a major general aviation airport, especially convenient for corporate aircraft. It also happens to be the busiest single-runway airport in the country, with nearly 133,000 landings and takeoffs every year.
Landmark Aviation and Scottsdale AirCenter are the airport's two fixed operators, offering excellent facilities and maintenance services.
